Calapa, Marie

Marie Calapa is a recent masters graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she performed research on tidal streams in the Milky Way. She aspires to teach high school math or physics and participated in the PDP to learn the latest in STEM education theory and techniques and gain experience in planning and leading an inquiry activity. The principles of the PDP will be invaluable in a high school classroom setting, and she plans to make extensive use of the themes of inquiry, equity and inclusion, and effective assessment in her future teaching career.
