Peach, Kelly
Kelly Peach is a fifth year graduate student in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at UC Santa Cruz. Her thesis work is focused on the development of a high content, high-throughput screen looking at biofilm formation in Vibrio cholerae, and the use of this screen for identifying biofilm inhibitor compounds derived from marine actinobacteria. Kelly first attended the Inquiry Institute in 2009. In 2010 she became an ISEE Fellowship for establishing an education research journal club. Upon completion of her Ph.D. Kelly intends to dive into education, with the ultimate goal of designing and constructing inquiry activities in either intensive science summer programs or an exhibit setting appropriate for a science museum.
