Scott Seagroves first joined the PDP community in 2003, when he was a PhD candidate in astrophysics at UCSC and a Science Fellow of the NSF Center for Informal Learning and Schools. His graduate school research interests were in statistical astrophysics. During 2006–2009 he was the Academic Coordinator for the education theme at the Center for Adaptive Optics. There he led many PDP elements and several programs, activities, and curricula for undergraduates, much of which developed into ISEE and the Akamai Workforce Initiative. Currently he is the physics lab instructor at The College of St. Scholastica and a part-time affiliate of ISEE and AWI.
