Du, Xinnan

Xinnan Du is a PhD student in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at University of California, Los Angeles. Her research focuses on the physical properties of the interstellar and circumgalactic gas in distant star-forming galaxies. Xinnan is very enthusiastic about K-12 STEM outreach, and is seeking a career in science education. She hopes to bring inquiry-based learning to the undergraduate-level courses she teaches and TAs, and to use assessment-driven design to come up with more activity ideas that are modified to suit younger audience.
